Description of session:
During the first half of the session, we will co-creatively explore the dark sides of work and organizations by exchanging experiences within small groups. We will also reflect on the conditions that a context and dialogue must meet to talk openly and transparently around this topic. In the second half of the session, a keynote is planned around the book ‘The Dark Side. What we don't talk about in the workplace’. We conclude with a plenary discussion and reflection: what do you take away from the session, for yourself, for your team, for the organization?
Who should attend this session?:
You reflect together on dark sides of work and organization and exchange insights and experiences.
You will also be given tools to deal with these dark sides, from the perspective of the individual worker, as well as from the perspective of you as a leader or HR-professional.
what can participants except as key learnings of this session
Naming or voicing dark sides does not necessarily have to be uncomfortable, emotional or involve activism. In the best organizations and teams there are pitfalls, obstacles and risks.
However, naming dark sides does require a psychologically safe climate in which we can give and receive feedback as critical friends.
