HR Challenge - Heart vs Chart
The phrase “as research shows” seems to have become a highly effective debate stopper these days. We hardly dare to question the statements following this introduction anymore. But when it comes to people management, should we only go by hard scientific fact? Isn’t it better to act swiftly, trusting our gut instincts? After all, isn’t intuition built upon observation and experience too?
During this HR Challenge we will explore the pros and cons of intuitive versus evidence-based people management, while tackling some key issues, such as:
- Does calling employees back to the office really boost engagement and performance?
- Is situational leadership hopelessly outdated, and is servant leadership so much better?
- Should you just skip annual performance reviews and rely on real-time feedback instead?
- Is AI bias simply replacing bias in human judgment, or can algorithms actually break bias?
Get ready for an animated debate, with plenty of room for both scientific research and humorous examples from real life.
Program
Before we start the challenge, after a brief clarification of the conceptual framework, you will be presented with some concrete cases that will form the basis for the debate. These cases are always directly from reality, presented by speakers from the public and private sector.
