Antwerp Management School has 70% international students

Antwerp Management School (AMS) is kicking off the new academic year, spread over the next few months. This year, the management school recorded a 6% increase in the number of enrollments for its full-time masters. Remarkably, 70% of these full-time master's students come from abroad.

Antwerp Management School has long had an international appeal, and this academic year confirms it all the more. For the first time, the school welcomes students from Congo, Gambia, Myanmar and Syria, bringing the total number of nationalities in the full-time master's programs to 44.

To promote the integration of international students, AMS is collaborating with Linguapolis, of the Univeristy of Antwerp, in the pilot project 'Dutch lessons on campus'. From the start of the academic year until the Easter holidays, the participants of this language course will take 2.5 hours of Dutch per week, to acquire a basic knowledge of Dutch to apply in everyday life. The course will conclude with an evaluation, after which successful students will receive the ERK level A2 certificate

"In this way, we want to increase the chances of our international students finding work in Belgium, after their studies," says Steven De Haes, dean of Antwerp Management School. "We have noticed that our talent partners (the companies that recruit our graduates) are becoming more open to international talent."

In the academic year of 2022-2023, global supply chain management (51 students) is the most popular master’s program at Antwerp Management School, followed by the master's in innovation & entrepreneurship (31 students). The master's in finance (30 students) completes the top three.
